Common Covenants Covenants are promises that a property owner makes when purchasing real estate, usually a home. Renters agree to abide by covenants applicable to the property where they live. Under Texas law, a municipal utility district -- like Springwoods -- has authority to enforce covenants to protect the value of its tax base. To protect the value of its residents' investments in their homes, the MUD Board has adopted policies related to the enforcement of restrictive covenants. For a copy of that policy, click here. Covenants may vary from section to section of Springwoods MUD. Here are some provisions common to several sections.
To report a suspected violation of covenants, contact District Manager, Margret Wingrove at 335-7580. |
